Educational Retreats that Meet Standards of Learning
Great Wolf Lodge Educational Retreats foster hands-on education that is fun.
Our flexible overnight programs allow you to choose from On-Site Educational Programs presented by the fine Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) staff. PEEC’s mission is to enhance environmental awareness, knowledge, and appreciation through hands-on experience in a natural outdoor classroom.

In the first half of the class, we’ll explore indigenous Pocono mammals through a hands-on
skins and skulls demonstration. Animals to be covered include skunks, beavers, bear, whitetailed
deer, long-tailed weasels, raccoon, opossums, and muskrat. For the second half of the
class, we’ll go outside and learn animal adaptations through a series of Wildlife Games.
Through these activities, students will learn important ecological concepts in an informal, fun,
and interactive way. |
1.5 Hour Program
Water conservation and water quality will be examined using hands-on, participatory lessons and
activities. Students will learn what a watershed is, about point and non-point source pollution,
and how to help keep waterways clean. We will also discuss how water is used within the home
and how we can conserve this valuable resource.

1.5 Hour Program
Groups of 12-15 individuals will start the day off with games and activities to get to know each
other and build trust within the group. Then, they will be presented with a series of challenges,
which promote team building, cooperation, and decision-making within a group. Group
members will work together in order to accomplish the task.

Wolf Outdoors in search of evidence of animal inhabitation. |
