Waterpark FAQ's
For your maximum safety and enjoyment while visiting our waterpark, please keep
the following guidelines in mind.
To view waterpark hours, click on the Waterpark Hours calendar at the left.
Please obey the lifeguards at all times. They are staffed so that you may experience our rides to the utmost enjoyment while remaining safe.
For your safety, the facility routinely conducts drills and Vigilance Awareness Training. For further information, see a waterpark manager.
General Rules That Apply Throughout the Waterpark:
- No dunking, no shoulder riding, or rough play
- No running
- No diving or jumping into pools
- No double riding or chains
- Wristbands must be worn
- Towels must stay in the waterpark
- Swim diapers must be worn by children age four and under.
- Great Wolf Lodge requires that guests wear appropriate swim attire. Cut-off jeans, see-through suits and thong suits are not permitted.
- No outside food/beverage allowed
- Only coast guard approved life jackets
Outdoor Pool Rules
- No jumping, running, or diving
- No carry-in food or coolers allowed in outdoor pool area
- No dunking, hanging on rims or rough play
- Enter and Exit the pool at designated areas only
- “Piggy Back” or shoulder riding is not allowed
- Children must be supervised at all times
- Water toys are not permitted in the outdoor pool
- Caution: The water depth in the pool is 4'6”
Bear Track Landing
- Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times
- State law prohibits glass bottles or containers. Coolers, cans, and other carry-in food or beverage is also prohibited
- Proper swim attire is required. Jean/denim shorts and shorts with rivets, buckles or zippers are not permitted. Diaper dependant guests must wear a protective swim diaper
- Water wings and other inflatable devices are prohibited. Only U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted. Life jackets are provided at no additional charge on a first come basis and must remain in the waterpark
- Secure all personal belongings. Lockers are available for an additional charge. The Great Wolf Lodge is not responsible for items lost or stolen
- Additional rules may vary from attraction to attraction and are posted at each location
Alberta Falls
- You must be at least 42" or accompanied by an adult. Infants and small toddlers are not permitted
- Single riders may ride in a single inner tube or in the rear of a double inner tube
- Double riders must use a double inner tube with the lighter of the two seated in front
- Maximum weight not to exceed 400-lbs per tube
- Secure all loose articles and remove any footwear prior to riding
- Remain seated in the hole, facing forward, and grasping the handles throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, or forming chains are not permitted
- Pregnant women, guests with heart conditions, guests with neck or back problems, and guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 3'6". Exit the splash pool immediately upon entry
Bigfoot Pass
- Children under 48" must be accompanied by an adult, wear a life jacket, or pass a swim test demonstrating sufficient swimming capabilities
- One person at a time. Enter at this end only. If you should fall, exit the pool as soon as possible
- Pregnant women and guests with neck or back problems are not permitted
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 4'0"
Caribou Creek
- Children under 42" must be accompanied by an adult, wear a life jacket, or pass a swim test demonstrating sufficient swimming capabilities
- Travel in the direction of current only. Rough play and splashing is not permitted
- Guests may swim, walk or float with an inner tube
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 3'0"
Chinook Cove
- Children under 48" must be accompanied by an adult, wear a life jacket, or pass a swim test demonstrating sufficient swimming capabilities
- No running, jumping, or diving
- Do not shoot basketballs from outside the pool or designated area. Do not dunk basketballs or hang on the rims
- Do not stand on the floats. Excessive tipping or rocking is also prohibited
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 4'0"
Eagles Peak Rock Wall
- Additional charge required
- Children under 40-lbs and guests over 275-lbs are not permitted to climb
- Rock Climbing is a high activity sport. Do not participate if you are pregnant or if you have any type of head, neck, back, arm, shoulder, leg, hip, bone or muscle injuries, heart conditions, high blood pressure, or a recent illness or surgery
- Remove all loose articles and valuables prior to climbing
- Climb in your route only. Do not cross over, swing, or put yourself directly beneath or above another climber
- Once you have reached the highest handhold, you've reached the top. At this time, you must begin your descent
- To come down, let go of the handholds and kick off with your feet. Do not kick more than 6-8 feet from the wall. Land in the landing area on your feet
Fort Mackenzie
- No running in or around Fort Mackenzie
- The water bucket dumps over 700 gallons of water. Use caution when standing directly under the bucket area. Not recommended for children under 42"
- Do not hang from pull ropes or climb on water toys
- The water toys are designed for use inside the Fort Mackenzie . Do not spray water outside of the structure into seating areas
- CAUTION: Floor slopes towards structure
Manitoba Tubs - Lower (Family)
- No lifeguard on duty. Use at your own risk
- Proper swimming attire is required
- Infants, small toddlers, elderly guests, pregnant women, and guests with heart conditions or diabetes should not enter the hot tub without prior medical consent and permission from their doctor
- Guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted
- Observe reasonable time limits (10-15min). Long or repetitive use may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting
Manitoba Tubs - Upper (Adult)
- Reserved for guests 21 and older
- No lifeguard on duty. Use at your own risk
- Proper swimming attire is required
- Elderly guests, pregnant women, and guests with heart conditions or diabetes should not enter the hot tub without prior medical consent and permission from their doctor
- Guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted
- Observe reasonable time limits (10-15min). Long or repetitive use may result in nausea, dizziness,
or fainting
Otter Run
- Infants and small toddlers are not permitted
- Secure all loose articles and remove any life jackets or footwear prior to riding
- One person at a time. Remain on your back, feet first with legs crossed at the ankles and arms crossed over the chest throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, and forming chains are not permitted
- Pregnant women, guests with heart conditions, guests with neck or back problems, and guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to ride
- Exit the slides run-out immediately upon entry
Soak N' Oak Springs
- You must be less than 48" or accompanied by a child
- No running, jumping, or diving
- Feet first sliding only. One person at a time
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 1'6"
Totem Towers
- You must be at least 42" or supervised by an adult, in the water. Parents or guardians supervising young children must do so at a safe distance from the slides finale. Infants and small toddlers are not permitted
- Secure all loose articles and remove any life jackets or footwear prior to riding
- One person at a time. Remain on your back, feet first with legs crossed at the ankles and arms crossed over the chest throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, and forming chains are not permitted
- Pregnant women, guests with heart conditions, guests with neck or back problems, and guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 3'6". Exit the splash pool immediately upon entry
Whooping Hollow
- You must be less than 54" or accompanied by a child. Infants and small toddlers are not permitted
- One person at a time. Remain seated feet first and in an upright position throughout the course of the ride. Stopping, changing positions, or forming chains is not permitted
- Parents or guardians supervising their children must do so at a safe distance from the slides finale
- Pregnant women and guests with neck or back problems are not permitted
- CAUTION: The maximum water depth is 2'6". Exit the splash pool immediately upon entry
Ellis & Associates Certified Lifeguards
In an ongoing effort to ensure guest safety and satisfaction, Great Wolf Resorts (GWR) has partnered with Jeff Ellis & Associates (E&A), a private, outside consulting firm specializing in aquatic risk management. To keep our standards and practices at the highest levels possible, GWR will typically do a number of drills and skills tests during hours of operation. In addition to this, Ellis & Associates will perform four unannounced operational audits per year at each facility, testing them in areas of professionalism, diligence in scanning techniques and rescue skills, as well as their ability to manage an aquatic emergency.
